Facts
Ms Solari-Bierne brought claims against her employer ERSG Limited alleging pregnancy and maternity-related dismissal, discrimination and detriment. The case was heard over seven days at London South Employment Tribunal in June and July 2025.
Decision
The tribunal dismissed all of the claimant's claims, finding they were not well-founded. This included claims of automatically unfair dismissal related to pregnancy/maternity, pregnancy and maternity discrimination under the Equality Act 2010, and detriment relating to maternity rights.
Practical note
All pregnancy and maternity-related claims were rejected after a seven-day hearing, suggesting the tribunal found the respondent's evidence more credible or that the claimant failed to establish the necessary causal connection between pregnancy/maternity and the treatment complained of.
