Facts

Mr Barnett brought a claim for unlawful deduction from wages against two pub employers, The Talbot Pub and Cronkinsons Farm Pub. Neither party attended the hearing on 23 June 2025. The tribunal proceeded in their absence under rule 47 of the Employment Tribunal Rules 2024.

Decision

The tribunal dismissed the claim on jurisdictional grounds, finding that the claim was not presented within the applicable time limit and that it was reasonably practicable for the claimant to have done so. No awards were made.

Practical note
