Facts

Mr Robins brought a whistleblowing claim against two animal welfare charities, Animal Concern Limited and Animal Concern Advice Line. The claim was heard remotely via CVP in Glasgow. The claimant represented himself while both respondents were represented by the same solicitor, Mr R McAdam. The claimant withdrew his claim at the hearing.

Decision

The tribunal dismissed the whistleblowing claim under rule 51 of the Employment Tribunal Procedure Rules 2024 following withdrawal by the claimant. Oral reasons were given at the hearing, with written reasons available only upon request within 14 days.

Practical note

A whistleblowing claim under section 103A ERA 1996 can be dismissed upon withdrawal by the claimant under rule 51 of the tribunal procedure rules.
